Vehicle Description Some cars are purchased and used for daily transportation and simply sold or traded.
As these cars age they go from caretaker to caretaker until their usefulness is no longer needed.
Then there are some cars that from day one live a pampered life.
Kept in a garage and only used for special occasions and never subject to any bad weather.
This pretty much sums up the story of our 1962 Chevrolet Corvair 700.
Purchased new at Rosenthal Chevrolet in Arlington Virginia on January 24, 1962 by Franklin Allen.
Mr.
Allen loved this car and went to great lengths to preserve it and keep it looking new at all times.
When Mr.
Allen passed away his son took over and the car went to Florida and was given the same care as always.
Around 2017 the car was put on the market and was sold to a lady in South Carolina and again, the car was cared for and only used for shows and occasional cruise-ins.
We spotted the car at a large show in Myrtle Beach this past spring bought the car and brought it back to Rally Sport Classics and is now ready for the next stage of it's life! This beautiful car still wears it's original Autumn Gold paint with matching cloth interior.
additional options would include automatic transmission, rear folding seat.
spare wheel lock and AM pushbutton radio, Full wheel covers and white wall tires.
This car is 100% original and in museum quality condition.
take a look at the pictures and judge for yourself! The interior, paint finish, engine bay and trunk area have been maintained to as new standards.
All four T-3 headlight bulbs are still lighting the way.
The original AM radio sounds as crisp as it did in 62.
