Vehicle Description 11k Original Mileage, Convertible, Interior and Exterior Restoration, Same Owner 46 Years, Overdrive It is such a high performance sports car from its day and in true classic design.
These cars are so distinctly styled that they jump out at you when one passes by.
When most sports cars where a 4 cylinder these are a 6 cylinder, and had just an unusual amount of power for the times.
It was built in fairly small volume, and a combination of steel and aluminum construction.
This car also has a unique story.
The current owner spotted this car when it was only 5 or 6 years old at a British Layland dealership in his home town, and had inquired about it and really wanted to own it.
The owner eventually sold it to him in January 1971, and its still titled with the original title from 1971 when it was put in his name 46 years ago.
The fact that its not only received professional attention to the paint and body, but was restored to be driven and enjoyed even though he had very limited time to do that.
That is why it is in such remarkable condition today.
2 years ago the car was taken in and was asked that they completely go through the suspension and freshen it with new brakes, brake drums, pads, rotors, shock absorbers, and other suspension components.
You can see the old parts (in the photos) that do go with the car.
(See Pics) Owner said the car had around 7,000-8,000 in 1971.
Most all restorations done by Foreign car specialties, except interior.
Major recent services invoices in pictures.

Radio Overdrive Luggage Rack Heater Chad rode 5 to 6 miles with the owner, then drove the car back 5 to 6 miles.
The car is extremely tight and solid, and drives just exactly how it was designed and without any flaws in the operation.
Steering was very precise and tight, upon braking it was without pulling or pulsation and stopped easily.
The clutch is newer as well and operated smooth with no shutter.
Clutch is easy to push in and out, and shifted in to each gear up and down, of course first gear is not synchronized.
I also operated with the over drive, and it operates without issue.
It really just appears to be operating just as it was intended to and designed without flaw.
So its extremely fun, responsive, and comfortable to drive.
