The Senior Desktop Technician is responsible for the overall performance of proprietary manufacturing software within and enterprise Windows IT environment. Strong software/OS analytical and troubleshooting skills are required. This individual will be expected to respond to issues in a timely manner, be extremely professional, and assure that customer satisfaction is the number one goal.
Responsibilities
Test, troubleshoot, and repair software related issues within a proprietary manufacturing applications from 10 to 20 different applications and some applications.
Analyze, repair and test scripts, sql queries, and database analytics to discover and repair the root cause of software, data and connectivity issues.
Analyze files and assure that the applications are running at optimal levels. Make recommendations as appropriate.
Sort through scripts, batch files, INI files, and others areas as necessary to diagnose, repair, and upgrade software applications and hardware to meet performance requirements as it relates to the Windows 7 Operating System.
Document and make recommendations to management on areas where performance could be optimized, formulate a plan, and execute.
Qualifications
5 years of Desktop software, hardware, OS, and proprietary application experience within an enterprise environment.
Strong understanding and experience within a Windows based operating system including configuration of software packages.
Windows 7 upgrade/deployment experience.
Strong understanding of PC hardware requirements and the ability to optimize and install hardware necessary to meet those requirements.
Strong documentation skills are required.
Customer Service and Business professionalism is a must.
