The Student Success Coach will provide individualized attention to students throughout their college career addressing barriers to program retention and completion. Coaching will include a comprehensive intake and carer exploration process to ensure students choose pathways compatible with their aptitudes and interests. The College will also provide intrusive, holistic advising services essential for students lacking college experience and academic skills for college-level courses. The coach will help students create action plans to address academic and non-academic barriers such as time management and financial Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a career field related to Industrial Technology, social work, education.Experience/Qualifications Requirements:4-6 years' teaching experience in a field related to Industrial Technology area; familiarity with success coaching helpful; strong advising skills, preferably in higher education, which include developing individualized academic plans, applying for financial aid and scholarships; counseling (academic and career); knowledge of specific needs of underserved populations and ability to work with students with identified risk factors for academic success; knowledge of range of factors impacting student success; strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective problem-solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media; strong presentation and facilitation skills.Licensure or Certification Requirements: Preferred Qualification:Master's degree in counseling or college student personnel preferred.
