An established and prominent local manufacturing company is in need of a shear operator for one of its plants. This is a temp-hire, second shift position. This position will involve using fixed and/or mobile shear equipment to make various cuts in sheet steel (and other metals) according to the company's requirements.
This will require the candidate to make this cuts (and other assigned duties) at the pace required to meet or exceed company quota and in a safe and ergonomic manner. They will also be responsible for maintenance and accountability of assigned tools, as well as filling out detailed reports of daily production and any safety, production, maintenance, and environmental issues that arose during the day.

- Ability to accept supervision and work well within a team
- Punctuality and motivation, must have a desire to learn and succeed
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to sit, stand, and maneuver as required by the job, and lift up to 50 lbs
