We are here to create amazing food and experiences for our staff and guests.
The Howlin Bird management (hereby addressed as The Howlin Bird in this document) believes that, to create this experience we need to be clear on all expectations and want you (the employee) to understand what your responsibilities are.
We want everyone here to grow, succeed, and be the best they can be.
We Expect We expect our employees to have open availability if hired in at a full-time position.
The full-time QB needs to be able to work weekends, mornings, nights, and holidays.
We expect all employees to perform the following tasks.
Complete the Serv-Safe course required by The Howlin Bird Learn, understand, and have knowledge of The Howlin Bird Menus (this includes knowing what is in each dish and beverage) Complete all side work assigned to you by The Howlin Bird correctly and in a timely fashion Treat every guest like they are a VIP (how you would want to be treated) Set up the dining room the way The Howlin Bird has instructed Use knowledge of common allergies and dietary restrictions to accommodate any guests needs No phones on the floor, if you need to use your phone you are to ask a manager and use it in the designated areas Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
However busy and whatever time of day Always have a presence in the lobby or on the floor (there must be one person in the lobby or always watching the lobby, you are responsible for that) Be pro-active!!! If there is down time use it to bus tables, sweep the dining room, re-stock cups, re-stock straws, roll silverware, stock ketchup packets, stock mayonnaise packets, etc.
Practice appropriate hygiene required by The Ohio Health Department Check on all guests and patrons periodically throughout your shift Pre-bus and bus all dirty tables as soon as possible Avoid food waste by asking questions and repeating orders taken over the phone or in person Clean each station you are scheduled (cashier, expo, busser, etc.
) to The Howlin Bird's standards Stock and restock the station that you are working with all products as needed (large to go boxes, small to go boxes, straws, napkins, silverware, salt and pepper, etc.
) Complete daily/ weekly/ monthly cleaning tasks assigned by The Howlin Bird Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and dining areas to the Serv-Safe standards Comply with all rules and regulations set in place by The Howlin Bird Ask a manager how to use any equipment or chemicals if you are not aware Be respectful to all co-workers and managers Be on-time and in uniform to all your scheduled shifts Strive for a non profanity and professional work environment Job Types:
