Act as a confidential employee who provides a level of support, clerical and otherwise, and who assures maximum efficiency & effectiveness in that office EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Board's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel PERFORMANCE
Responsibilities:
Operate computers, typewriters, calculators, copy machines, fax machines, and other types of office equipment in an efficient manner Maintain all records of the Special Education Office & Section 504 as required Support compliance including ensuring accurate and timely reporting Maintenance of rosters and notification of timelines Process special education events related to, but not limited to Individual Education Programs, Evaluation Team Reports, Section 504 Evaluations, and 504 Accommodation Plans Process all requisitions and purchase orders for the department Greet visitors and persons entering the office in a friendly manner Answer telephones, relay messages, and transfer calls to appropriate individual in a professional and personable manner Responsible for mail and other deliveries, both receipt (sorting & distribution) and disbursement, making sure necessary supplies are on hand Order and maintain inventory of supplies for office use Keep absentee and other forms on hand for office use Process all forms and information, both on paper and on the computer, and submit on a timely basis Maintain an adequate system of filing, including open purchase orders, audit files, general files, correspondence, physical & electronic student records, etc.
Make copies for others as needed Keep calendars current and make appointments as needed, including reservations and rentals of facilities Take responsibility for bulletin boards in the office, posting all schedules, etc.
Assist Administrator/Supervisor with programs and meetings as needed Enter and maintain accurate information on EMIS system through SameGoal Occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids Occasional interaction among unruly children Comply with all Plain Local Board of Education policies and procedures Perform other duties as directed.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
