The facility is currently seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of a Respiratory Therapy Director.
Essential Job Duties:
Setup, which includes demonstration and education, of respiratory therapy equipment in office, lab and/or patient's home and completion of appropriate documentation.
Provides and operates all respiratory equipment as defined by scope of service at the location.
This includes, but not limited to:
oxygen therapy, cough assist, nasal PAP, noninvasive ventilation, oximeters, nebulizers and apnea monitors.
Perform clinical assessments, which includes, but not limited to:
BS, cough, sputum, dyspnea, pain, fever, hearing, skin color, vision, vital signs, circulation, spirometry, mental status, activity and medicine profile.
Responsible for routine patient follow-up contacts based on policy and procedures and individual patient needs.
Provide ongoing client visits for equipment maintenance and care planning.
Maintain good relations with clients and consults with referring physicians regarding patient treatment, medical conditions and home environments.
Pick up, check and clean equipment as required.
Maintain daily route and work sheet.
Assist in resolving client equipment problems under emergency conditions when appropriate.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required.
Assist in the inventory management of respiratory equipment and supplies.
Participates in ongoing education and training regarding respiratory patient care.
