Job Description The role of the Purchasing Coordinator is to work closely with the Purchasing Manager, Inventory Manager and Project Managers to ensure Purchase orders are placed with suppliers daily.
This role also tracks PO due dates and confirms orders will arrive as promised.
The Purchasing Coordinator will also send RFI's to suppliers.
This may include assisting the Estimating department in obtaining price quotes for active client proposal requests.
This person must be a collaborative individual who establishes accurate and efficient work processes while also exploring new innovative ways to achieve improved results.
Responsibilities Accurately prepare purchase orders by verifying line details and pricing against proposals Review material supply & demand to recommend replenishment orders.
Ensure all costs related to purchases are accounted for, including inbound freight, packaging charges, etc.
to determine total cost for supply items.
Review invoices against original purchase orders and take corrective actions with supplier if errors in invoicing are found, as well as implement ways to reduce discrepancies going forward.
Confirm on time delivery with suppliers prior to expected delivery dates.
Verify receipt of goods in a timely manner Accurately record and create data using the Global Shop ERP system.
Monitor supplier on time delivery and invoicing timing and accuracy, escalate as necessary if chronic issues are discovered.
Review and enter receiving documents, notifying Project Managers and Production team of material delivery.
Inform Project Managers and Production team when orders are going to be delivered late, incomplete or are cancelled by the supplier.
Work directly with the Inventory department and Accounts Receivable to coordinate receiving and invoicing information.
Work closely with receiving, inventory and other personnel to ensure product quality issues are resolved in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
Maintain open communication with internal and external stakeholders by building relationships based on trust.
Special Projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience Associate degree or at least 3 years of relevant job experience in construction or millwork / casework field Professional attitude Ability to learn and navigate ERP software system (Global Shop) Knowledge of blueprint reading a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Microsoft Office Suite skills needed - strong Excel skills.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
