Summary:
The Communications Assistant's primary responsibility is to answer the telephone and handle front desk/reception area duties along with providing administrative support to the department and organization.
The Communications Assistant is the face of the Company for all visitors and will be primarily responsible for the first impression people have of the organization.
The Communications Assistant must maintain a high level of professionalism in dress code and appearance and must be flexible and excited about working in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES /
Responsibilities:
Respond quickly to phone calls and answer callers and redirects them with enthusiasm in a professional manner.
Greet and welcome visitors and guests and maintain a welcoming environment.
Maintain lobby security by monitoring visitor logbook and issuing visitor badges.
Maintain safe and clean reception area keeping it presentable and stocked with all necessary materials.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Coordinate and assist with company social, business and training related events and meetings.
Perform office and clerical duties such as maintaining room and resource calendars, scheduling appointments, posting weekly travel schedules, composing routine correspondence, reading and routing incoming mail email and faxes and preparing outgoing mail and small parcel shipment.
Possess a strong sense of teamwork, and have the ability to cross-train on all essential departmental duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
A minimum of two (2) years in a professional office environment with general administrative, clerical or customer service related roles.
Candidate must have strong customer service skills with the ability to maintain a calm, courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
Candidate must have strong communication (written and oral) skills and attention to detail along with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may encounter periodically lifting and moving files, file boxes and marketing related materials (e.
g.
boxes of paper, catalogs, apparel, etc.
) which require the employee to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, grasp, push and pull items and materials for short periods of time.
Must routinely lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds, using proper lifting techniques, help from another employee or other available resources such as two-wheeled carts.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
