We provide all necessary training to our employees.
JOB DESCRIPTION As a manager your role is to assist Alpha Personal Care maintain a standard of living and excellence outlined within our policies and procedures.
You are responsible for supervision of DSP's and individuals served.
Organization and good money management skills are essential.
Provide care for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
Main duties include Managing staff within the home.
Ensuring implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs), helping Individuals and ensuring compliance of staff to complete basic personal care, proper documentation.
housekeeping tasks, transporting Individuals to appointments or other social outings, and keeping Individuals safe from potential health hazards in their surrounding environments.
JOB TYPE Full-Time ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervision of Direct Support Professional within the assigned home.
Maintaining compliance with the Ohio Department of Disabilities, Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Administrative Code regarding patient care, plan implementation, plan documentation.
Scheduling doctor's appointments for clients and ensuring their health and safety.
Implement Individual Support Plan (ISP) programs, plans, and services.
Provide personal assistance with hygiene, toileting, bathing, eating, and other activities of daily living as each individual needs or as outlined in ISP.
Complete ongoing accurate and relevant log notes that address individuals' personal outcomes.
Scheduling when the workshop is closed and for report offs.
Money Management Grocery Shopping / meal preparation (Healthy fresh foods) Annual employee evaluations/ corrective actions Inventory quarterly Assist individuals with communicating with landlord as the need arises Ensure staff are actively engaging with individuals and getting them out in the community for community integration.
Must be available on call for emergency situations that may arise.
Training staff annually on ISP and new staff.
Training staff annually and performing skills checklist for medication administration.
Ensure there are no outages in medication/ prepare MARs for the 1st of each month.
Performing ongoing coaching of staff as the need arises.
Assist and train clients with all areas of daily living skills.
Document MUI's and UI's in a timely fashion and ensure staff are doing the same.
Review time tracking for self and all staff.
Must be able to resolve conflicts in a way that maintains respect and dignity.
Coach, teach, and mentor people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Follow up with staff to ensure the cleaning and maintenance schedule of the residents' homes are safe and clean.
Transport and accompany clients to appointments or activities in the community.
Maintenance company vehicle in a timely manner.
Participate in training and team meetings as assigned by the supervisor.
Complete and document emergency drills as scheduled.
Communicate positively and effectively with other employees, Individual Guardians, and SSA's.
Review and sign all Individuals' documents (ISPs, BSP's, etc) as required.
Ensure that all Individuals are free from abuse and neglect in the home and when out in the community.
Respond in a timely manner to request from management regarding work-related tasks, issues, or items.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS Valid driver's license; Safe driving record (less than 6 pts.
) Reliable transportation and automobile insurance Criminal background check that meet agency and state standards Willing to work various shifts PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Relevant experience working with individuals with disabilities (1 year) Experience as a supervisor (1 year) Experience as a Direct Support Professional (1year) SALARY $15.
